| Course Overview |
Mastering the Basics of Image Consultancy is a ten day internationally certified, intensive course,
which covers the core competencies of image consultancy as determined by the Association of Image Consultants International. The objective of this course
is to empower students with the skills, confidence and resources to give clients accurate, personalised, practical and up-to-date information.
International Courses Available:
Each year Mastering the Basics of Image Consultancy is run in several countries by certified trainers.
We are also willing to facilitate the course at any international location if there are a minimum of six students who wish to undertake modules 1 to 3.
As a result of the course’s international reputation many international students attend from countries as far away as the UK, China, Dubai and the USA.
The full course is fun, fast paced and facilitated over a eleven day period.
Details:
Module 1 (Style and Image) and module 2 (Colour Analysis) are available
to be taken individually. Module 3 (Business Building) is free when modules 1 and 2 are taken at the same time. Module 3 (Business Building) and
module 4 (Basic Make-up) are only offered to students who have done modules 1 or 2.
The course is complemented by a large amount of high quality and comprehensive take home materials. The course content is constantly being up-dated to ensure it provides the highest quality of information to students. In
addition students are given a personal password protected merchant website. This is essentially a private workspace where client style portfolios are created and stored, orders are made and tracked and resources are
accessed and downloaded.
Students are able to re-sit any module that they have previously taken as a paid student anywhere the course is run so long as they remain a TAIC merchant. Those who re-sit modules are charged a minimal amount to cover
food and handouts.
To keep the course affordable they are run from 3 to 4 star venues which also offer accommodation.
Daily the course runs from 9am to 5pm for courses with 6 or less students and 8.30am to 5.30pm for courses with 7-12 students. The fifth day is a day of rest, to ensure students return fresh for the remainder of the
course.
We highly recommend that international students have good comprehension of the spoken English language before enrolling.
At the end of the course students are required to complete a series of post course assignments to ensure they are confident and competent to work independently. Once the assignments are completed and the required marks
are reached each student receives a full colour Certificate of Attainment and will be listed on the TAIC Consultant Listing Page.
Students are provided with ongoing support for a minimum of 6 months.
Each Nov 1 an annual TAIC renewal fee of $275 is due with the first year being pro-rated depending on the date of training. To read what this fee covers PRESS

Personal Requirements:
No pre-existing fashion experience, specific age group or gender are required to attend the coursehowever, a love of people, a willingness and energy to work hard, some extra finance and an entrepreneurial spirit
are required. We suggest that approximately $1,000 - $2,000 extra is required to set yourself up with stock (style programs, colour swatches etc) as well as business cards.
Hardware Requirements:
The TAIC style program requires access to the internet. In addition you will need at least a Pentium 400 PC (preferably a faster Pentium) computer with 512 meg of RAM, and a high quality printer. IA computer and
Internet connection is required to access your personal consultant password protected merchant website in order to create personal style portfolios, order products and download resources. |

After having attended TAIC’s “Mastering the Basics of Image Consultancy” I
couldn’t wait to head out into the world and start sharing with individuals the wealth of knowledge I had gained from attending this brilliant course. Every day throughout the course was new and
